KOLD-N-KLOSE

SPLICE CLOSURE AND SHEATH REPAIR SYSTEM

Thoroughly tested and evaluated to fulfill the needs of the telecommunications

industry, the components of the Kold-N-Klose system can be used to serve your

specific splicing needs, including simple sheath repair of any length or diameter

of cable, and encapsulation of buried or aerial splices. Use on filled or air-core,

plastic or lead, and pressurized cable. It is totally mechanical, no heat or flame

required, and can be installed under the most severe environmental conditions

(-20 to 140 F degrees).

A tough flexible sleeve material, coated on one side with TBT20

sealant, is used

as the outer layer on repairs and splices for long-lasting sealed protection

against the environment. They are packaged in rolls, with cable ties included.

Here’s a user-friendly product designed to provide ease and flexibility in

fastening communications cables to messenger strand. It is equally well suited

for copper conductor cable, coaxial cable, fiber optic cable and inner duct in

aerial applications. The system includes weather-resistant acetal plastic cable

straps, marine-grade locking devices and base hanger accessories for specific

applications where mounting is required. Stackable spacers accommodate all

requirements — no need to stock multiple sizes of individual height spacers. It

has many years of proven service in the telecommunications industry.

ENCAPSULATION KIT

These kits are packaged in bulk to permit repairs or splices to cable from 25-

pair to 2400-pair at any length or diameter, with no waste. For example, a kit

contains enough material to effect eight to 10 repairs or splices on 100- to 200-

pair cable or two splices on 1500-pair cable. This reduces inventory

requirements.
