THINMUX
™
MULTIPLEXERS
ADC‘s ThinMux product family helps carriers build today‘s access networks to
easily adapt to meet tomorrow‘s needs. It is one of the smallest multiplexers on
the market and provides a single platform to encompass many universal
standards (SONET/SDH, DS3 and T-1/E-1). ADC’s ThinMux enables carriers
complete flexibility in delivering unique T-1/E-1 or mixed services without
additional provisioning, servicing, inventory or training with investment. The
ThinMux has interchangeable DS3 and STS-1 multiplexer options, software-
configurable mixed T-1 and E-1 services, a forced-air cooling unit and a
backplane craft port. The enclosure fits into a 19-in. Central Office rack.

HDSL
ADC carries two lines of HDSL products — Soneplex and HiGain. The Soneplex
T-1 provides a flexible, end-to-end solution saving carriers money on T-1-based
services over copper or fiber. It uses HDSL, HDSL2, HDSL4, traditional T-1
repeater or optical DS2 technology in a single platform, which features
advanced network management capabilities, circuit visibility, remote
provisioning and network control. The HiGain supports industry-standard HDSL
in 220, 3192 and DDM+ mechanics enclosures, as well as ADC HiGain chassis.

HDSL2
ADC carries two lines of HDSL2 products — Soneplex and HiGain. ADC’s HDSL2
gives service providers another option for delivering traditional T-1 services over
a single unconditioned, non-loaded copper pair for up to 12,000 ft. The HDSL2
enables carriers to extend the life of their existing copper plants and to reduce
the need for burying new cable. It meets ANSI T1E1.4 standards, is NEBS-Level 3
compliant and operates in ADC’s Soneplex chassis — providing enhanced
network management capabilities, circuit visibility, remote provisioning and
network control. Other features include: span-powered remote units, GR-1089
compliance, 1+1 protection, metallic loop qualification and repeaters. ADC also
offers HiGain HDSL2 Central Office and remote modules that operate in
industry-standard Central Office and remote chassis.
